Pawleys Island

Anna and I enjoying ourselves at Jennifer and Bill Dwyer's Halloween party last weekend. I hadn't seen Jen, a friend from high school (last name Rephann back then) in 16 years. It was great meeting her family and friends.

Standing around, we were a pair of Jacks. When we jumped up and down, we were............. ummmmmmm............ jumping Jacks :-/

Baby Christiana Baeli

Our friends Anna and Andrew welcomed their 2nd child into the world last Monday. On Saturday afternoon we were finally able to meet the sweet baby girl. She is as precious and tiny as can be! :) I was so excited to get to hold a little baby girl and see my husband hold her too! We are very happy for our friends...Congrats Baeli family!

relaxing Fall weekend

Whew... another great weekend! It's finally starting to feel like fall around here so Kirby and I took advantage and checked out the new boardwalk down in Myrtle Beach. It's definitely a nice boardwalk and adds more to the downtown area, but it's nothing like Ocean City, MD's boardwalk. We enjoyed the 2 mile walk down and back and I took some pictures along the way.

Sunday we took our golf cart to have a picnic at the waterway. Again, beautiful weather... cool air, warm sun, and sounds of animals and boats all around us. :)

So what do you do when the forward speed controller on the golf cart messes up? Drive home in reverse :-/

family visit

Kirby's sister, Shelley, and the kids came into town last weekend. They just stayed for a few days... but long enough to get our traditional Mexico Lindo night & game night in. Kirby and I took our 1st of 3 days off of the P90X diet (the other 2 days are to eat out with Dave and Darlene at the end of the month and for Thanksgiving) and enjoyed a LOT of Mexican food. We met Kailee's friend Patti and Josh's girlfriend Taylor. We introduced them to game night at our place, and with Patti's help, we laughed a whole lot :)

And then there were waves...

Thanks to the tropical activity out in the Atlantic, we've lucked out with a few nice swells over the past few weeks. There's nothing like surfing long, clean, peeling lefts at sunset, and getting covered up a bit while sliding your hand across the glassy face of a wave. A photographer from IL who owns Turn 4 Photos (http://www.turn4photos.net/) happened to catch the very end of one of those long, glassy lefts of mine on Tuesday night...

Saturday night...

We partied like rock stars before heading to the show (it's the simple things in life)...

House of Blues to see Frontiers, a Journey tribute band (someone gave us tickets, as we're not die-hard Journey fans)...

A little drive...

First time with the top off, we took a little road trip on some country roads up into North Carolina. A fun ride, but not quite as fun as the roads in Maryland. The long, relaxing ride was Anna's idea. Relaxing indeed... she fell asleep around the time we crossed back into SC.

baby fever...

...not ours though. Not yet...

My friend, Anna, from school is about 33 weeks prego and some of us from school had a shower for her last Sunday. This is her 2nd child, but they've "worked" really hard for Christiana and so we had to celebrate!

She received so many cute gifts! Here are a few pictures from the shower.
