10 months and growing like a weed!!
health
He's been healthy since spring break, but just last week he started coughing and got a runny nose. This all comes at the same time as tooth #5 and #6 are poppin' through. I think the 5th one broke through the gums today. Who knows if there is a correlation.
sleep
He's sleeping through the night! WooHoo!
I was going to do a separate post on this all together, but didn't want it to come back and bite me. It's been about 2 weeks. He goes to bed at 7:00pm almost every night and around 5:00am starts fussing a little bit. It usually just takes a pacifier to help him back to sleep for about 30 minutes to an hour. He's almost always up by 6:15am.
Naps are... well... it's something I try not to stress over anymore (which is kinda funny I say that, because when it comes to Kaden, I stress about everything). They aren't consistent at all. Sometimes 30 minutes... sometimes 2 hours. On average though, it's been 3 naps a day, for about 45 minutes.
sizes
size 3 diapers and that probably won't change for awhile
12 month jammies
9 month shirts
depending on the brand- 6-12 month pants and shorts
diet
He's been drinking 4 to 5, 8oz bottles a day. He's eating table food for breakfast, usually pancakes, yogurt, or oatmeal. Lunch and dinner aren't always easy though. He has to be in just the right mood to eat, so it's hit or miss. Fruits and veggies don't strike his fancy right now, but we keep trying. He's really into cottage cheese, grilled cheese, pizza, and the Gerber puffs still. He's tried peas, carrots, broccoli, avocado, sweet potato, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, and peaches.
likes
Favorite "toys":
-remote
-his car
-Mama and Dada's shoes
-spatula
Likes exploring:
-microwave
-refrigerator
-ceiling fan
-vacuum
He pretty much likes exploring everything really- He wants to understand how things work and isn't afraid to get down under them to figure it out.
...and still loves bath time and being outside
dislikes
There is only one thing we can think of that he truly dislikes... his car seat. Can't stand it. We bribe him with the car keys, toys, bottles... anything to keep his attention away from the fact that he's getting in the car. Most of the time it works. The car ride can't be too long though because he'll usually start fussing shortly after leaving the house. We can't wait to turn that nosey boy around!
things to remember
1. pulling up- He's pulling up on things everywhere.... our legs, tables, chairs, cabinets, toys, couch
2. starting to cruise- He's starting to figure this walking thing out
3. waving bye-bye- He often does it on command and does it every night at bedtime, when Dada leaves the room.
4. clapping- He can clap on command (if he's in the mood) and claps when he gets really excited about something.
5. He can find and point to: any nose, ear, and sometimes mouth, the microwave, window, guitar, palm tree, car, fan, TV, Leo (the lion), Jeffrey (the giraffe), Mama, Dada
Outtakes
Our booger doesn't stay still for long anymore, so our photo shoots are getting harder and harder. I get less shots each time and way less photos to choose from. But some of these were too funny to pass up and we want to remember (and oh, we will) the way he was during this time period.
"Maybe she'll stop taking pictures if I don't smile."
"What's this?"
"Really, Mom? You said that was the last one!"
