June 21- 1 year old!

 

Friday morning, on Kaden's actual birthday, we greeted our birthday boy with balloons as we walked into his room and sang happy birthday.  He loves balloons, so he was excited to see the unusual surprise.  He stared up at them and watched us as we tied them onto his crib.

 

 

We celebrated all day long! 

 

wore a gift from one of my students this year and watched his birth video

 

birthday breakfast 

 

got to see Grandma and Grandpa (from Ohio) again

 

 

 met Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa for the first time

opened a few gifts from them

 

went to the beach

 

 

 

 

went to mom and dad's Kaden's favorite restaurant for dinner

sang to him and gave him a "practice round" at eating a cupcake

(He sure had fun... and cracked us up too!)

After all the celebrating, he finally went to bed (over an hour after his bedtime).  He was up ready to go the next morning though.  He must have known it was his birthday party. ;)
