UPS

Kirby's guitar arrived today!  He sold his Peavey Wolfgang guitar and Fender amp cabinet to buy an EVH Wolfgang guitar.  In layman's terms... he sold one guitar for another guitar.  He checked the shipping every.single.day. You would have thought it was Christmas morning by the look on his face when it arrived!  I loved it!

  He gave it a good ol' "Kirby inspection" and plugged it right in to give it a try.  He's pretty happy with the purchase and I'm sure I'll be hearing "Panama" 3,000 more times! (I've already heard it twice since typing that sentence.)

I'm loving... "What I'm Loving Wednesday" because it allows me to reflect on the positive things! 

I'm loving... our tent got delivered yesterday! We cannot wait to go on our camping trip!

I'm loving... being able to talk to Kirby at dinner about every detail of our day.  The frustrations... laughs... everything...

I'm loving... some girls from school are going to I Was Fired in SC to paint pottery on Friday.  It sounds like a lot of fun, so I can't wait!

I'm loving... there are only 7 school days until spring break!  The kids need it... and so do the teachers!

I'm loving... how Amanda and Cody's engagement photos turned out.  It was so much fun!  Here are a few of our favorites.

It wouldn't have been my choice of beach days, but it was Kirby's.  He hasn't been surfing in awhile so I think he was excited to get out there!

Nothing much else going on around here today.  We did get a package delivered to us though... more about that soon!

300th post

I remember starting our blog right before Kirby and I got married in June of 2008 .  I thought it would be a nice way to document the wedding planning.  After we got married, it turned into a way for us to keep in touch with our friends and family. 

Now 300 posts later (and 24 followers)... it continues to help keep our friends and family in touch with us, but has also become a hobby of mine.  I really enjoy posting pictures and writing about even the smallest things Kirby and I do everyday.  I enjoy reading other blogs as well and becoming a part of the blogging community.  I've found many newlyweds, teachers, and even people I really know from high school, college, and NMB! 

If you've been with us from the beginning...thanks for keeping up with us.  If you just starting reading... welcome!  I'm excited for another 300 more!

quiet Sunday

Not much going on around here.  Kirby washed his car today while I went shopping and worked on Amanda and Cody's engagement photos. 

We ordered pizza for dinner and rented "The Switch".  It was a great movie!  I cried... of course.

Kirby and I took some engagement photos of Cody and Amanda at Huntington Beach State Park today .  It was so much fun and they made it so easy.  They are a great couple!

We ate Mexican...

And this is no April Fool's joke... it's true.  But it wasn't Mexico Lindo (well... most of it wasn't).  I had Taco Bell and Kirby had homemade shrimp tacos.  We did buy chips and salsa from Mexico Lindo though.

Just for the record (I need this in writing), I "April Fooled" Kirby today!

I called him around the time I was leaving school and told him that when I came out to my car after school, I had a flat tire.  He totally believed me... asking me... "Which one?"  Then he said he'd come over to my school before he went home and change my tire.  We hung up and I was in heaven!  I had tricked Kirby! 

30 seconds later... he called me back to ask if this was an April Fool's joke.  It didn't last long, but the bottom line is, I did get him!  Until next year... ;)
