Watch out Martha Stewart!

I've been meaning to try this super simple recipe, but keep forgetting. The other day while thinking about what to bring to our friend's house for Christmas Eve, I thought of this recipe. Kirby suggested I "practice" it tonight though. He said he wouldn't want me to bring anything that didn't taste good to someone's house. ;)

All you need are Rolos, M&M's, and pretzels. (There are many variations though.)

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees and lay out the pretzels onto a baking sheet.

Place 1 rolo onto each pretzel.

Bake for about 4 minutes or until soft (not melted).

Take them out and press 2 M&M's into the rolo. Cool for 20 minutes and then refrigerate for 20 minutes to set.

TA-DA! That's it... Merry Christmas everyone!

Congrats Janice!

Our sweet neighbor, Janice Powalie, graduated with her nursing degree this winter. The Powalie's are wonderful neighbors and so we are very happy for this special celebration!

wordless post

ornament exchange... or fight...

My friend Jill had her annual Christmas ornament exchange last night and once again it was a good time! *not to mention it was the first outing I was able to use my new camera ;)

{Jennifer & Ashley}

Snowmen were the theme this year...especially this one.

Ms. Phillips opened it first...

Then Terra stole it...

BUT Ms. Phillips opened another one...

A few more ornements were opened...
{Nancy and her fancy ornament}

{Cindy's first ornament exchange with us and she walks away with something cute}

And Terra opened ANOTHER snowman ornament.... the exact same one!

{Jill and Marley}

{Ms. Faulk showin' off her cute snowman ornaments that were soon stolen from her}

When it was my turn... I stole these from Ms. Meg and she wasn't very happy!
...and this is what she took home. Cute... but not as cute as the snowflakes. ;)

She even tried to hide my ornaments from me, outside behind the grinch.

Ms. Hucks' wedding

Last weekend a teacher friend of mine got married! Ms. Hucks is a first year, first grade teacher at NMBP. Ever since last year when she got engaged, I've enjoyed hearing about the different parts of the planning process.

... And we finally got to see it all come together. It was beautiful!

Merry early Christmas surprise to ME!

If anyone knows me at all... you'll know I love to take pictures! I want to capture every memory and don't want to miss a moment that goes by, so I carry my camera around with me EVERYWHERE! As you've read on the past few posts, my camera is on it's last leg.

Well tonight... Santa came early for me! :) Thank you Santa :)

It's the most wonderful (and busy) time of the year!

North Myrtle Beach Middle School's Christmas Party was last Friday night at Benjamin's Seafood Buffet. We were both looking forward to indulging in some great seafood for about a week or so. We had a good time eating and chattin' with some of Kirby's co-workers. Since my camera is slowly breaking, I'm taking less pictures. But here are a few...
