pumpkin carving

We have celebrated a lot of "firsts" lately... so I don't want to forget this one either.  Last weekend we decided to carve our pumpkin (nothing like waiting until the last minute).  Even though Kaden couldn't do much, we tried to include him in the project as much as possible.

He helped take the seeds off the top.  I wish we could hear what he was thinking as he touched the stringy, gooey, slimy insides of the pumpkin!

His face pretty much told us...
"I don't know what this is you're putting in front of my face, but it's nothing like those other things I play with."

Kaden had enough about half way through, so Dad had to finish up the project himself.
Another fun "first" though.

I love that you guys did this! It just goes to show that even the smallest babies can be part of the holiday fun!

we tried to do this too, but our lil man just wasnt having it. It was well past his bedtime and the night before halloween so i ended up carving the pumpkin myself while hubs put him to sleep :(
