Last night we met the Matthews' and Ellison's out for New Year's dinner at Bonefish Grill. Our reservations were for 4:45 and everyone gave me a hard time for such an early time, but it ended up working out perfect. We all enjoyed great meals and ended it with a piece of coconut pie from one of my student's parents (who happened to be sitting on the other side of the restaurant). After dinner, Kirby and I went home to play some Just Dance 2, eat more dessert, take a nap (well, just me) and then seal the night with a kiss! :) It was laid back, but of course, a great time!
{Tina showin' off her new heals!}
We celebrated the start of 2011 with my good friend Jeanna and her family. We had a "southern style" New Year's Day lunch with collard greens and black eyed peas. This was a new experience for Kirby and I since we are used to the pork and sauerkraut in the north. I did give everything a try though because they say (from what I learned from Kadi) collard greens & black eyed peas give you wealth and luck for the new year. I guess it was worth a try...right?! :)
