bittersweet

2 weeks from today, we'll be back in school.  A little less than 2 weeks from today, we'll start trying to make a little baby King.  I can't believe either one is just around the corner!
Okay, rewind almost 3 years ago...
Kirby and I decided when we got married that we'd wait 3 years until we started adding to our family.  We wanted time together, just Kirby and Anna.  We wanted to continue getting to know each other and be able to make the bond between us even stronger.  At first, it was a great idea... I completely agreed.  After about a year though, I started getting the "baby itch".  It progressively got worse and worse... meaning, I thought about having a baby all.the.time, saw babies everywhere, and it seemed like everyone was talking about babies or having a baby.  Eventually the thoughts got out of control (okay, I admit it) and I had to remind myself of our plan and why we decided it.  I was able to stop thinking "baby thoughts" all the time and tried to focus on just us and our relationship.  The past few months have been all about us.. without too many baby thoughts.
So now, back to the present day...
We have less than 2 weeks until the Kings start trying for a little prince or princess!  So the next 2 weeks are bittersweet.  I'm sad to see the summer coming to an end, but excited to start this new journey in starting our family.

so sweet - good luck with the baby-making!
I got pregnant after we'd only been married only about two months. We've wished we'd waited since it was pretty stressful on our relationship. I can not even imagine waiting hree wole years though! I'd be going crazy for a baby!!
Hope it doesn't take y'all too long.

so jealous you got the baby itch! i never got it! we wanted to wait "awhile" and every year we said "one more year". finally we were like "wow we are getting close to 30 better go now" and i said "I'M TOO SCARED TO BE PREGNANT, HOW ABOUT WE DONT HAVE KIDS?" ;)

GOOD LUCK!!

I'm glad you found my blog too! How cute are you and your hubs! Congrats on the baby making trying ... haha, if that's what you say??? Enjoy your time only worrying about yourselves because babies are SO MUCH WORK, but of curse, so worth it. I don't have one, just a nephew but I know from experience what a life change it is.

I just got a papertowel holder at Target from the dollar spot to make the jewelry holder with. YAY!

good luck! And enjoy the time with just the two of you-- it's PRECIOUS time that you will never have again (even when your kids are grown, you're still a parent).

What an exciting season! Praying for y'all! If I learned anything from our experience, it's that everything happens in God's perfect timing...but you already know that. :)

Congrats!!! :) That's so exciting! Jon and I decided to wait 1-2 years when we got married but ended up waiting longer! There were so many things that happened in life that we just weren't ready for it. We each took turns getting the "baby itch" but never at the same time until...well...we have a baby :)
