old lady King

We sure celebrated a lot today ... 100th day of school, Groundhog Day, and 1st grade celebrations!  This old lady is worn out!!!  And when I say old lady, I mean 100 year old lady.  That's right, I dressed up as a 100 year old lady today. 

I had a great time playing the part and the kids loved it!  I loved their expressions and excitement!  They were able to draw what they thought they would look like at 100 years old.  Some had mustaches.  A lot of girls put wrinkles on their faces.  Some had canes to help them walk.  One student even drew a picture of a gravestone at the cemetery!

We also made a 100 topping pizza- complete with cheese, pepperoni, ham, peppers, mushrooms, salt, and pepper (then ate real pizza afterwards).  We wrote what we would do with 100 dollars, skip counted to 100, and made special 100 glasses to wear!

It was a great day!  But after all that, this old lady needs a nap!  Goodnight.
